Building off the basics of intellectual property, the different types of business entities that can be carried on in Ontario, and how to avoid legal disputes, this seminar will provide information to assist you in laying the legal foundation for your business. We will discuss
- The difference between a trade-mark and a trade name;
- How to draft contracts that are legally binding and in relation to the type of business entity you have;
- What is a pre-incorporation contract and how to make it legally binding;
- How to convert from a sole proprietorship to a corporation and what to watch out for.
